home decor
First off, I have been working for an amazing company called, Lotus Bleu Design and I have been loving it and falling more and more in love with the design world. When I first started, I got really overwhelmed, and discouraged. Things have changed and I am now so much more involved and learning so much! Next, my boss and her company were recently in California Home and Design Magazine labeling us as one of the main retailers of Madeline Weinrib rugs on the west coast! BRAVO!
I am in love with her rugs, they are stunning... I'm saving up my pay checks to purchase the one I have picked out, it would go perfectly in my room!
Note: Madeline Weinrib is the granddaughter is ABC Carpet and Home, Max Weinrib; ABC is by far the coolest home store, hands down, one of my fav's! If you are in the New York area, be sure to check it out, and dedicate a whole day to the store, it is huge!
Click here to see her website, she also does some of the most beautiful Ikat fabric, all hand made, and don't forget to also check out her pillows, next on my list of purchases!
Click here to see Lotus Bleu Design, they also have a huge selction of amazing stuff for you and your home!
This is a picture from our Madeline Weinrib display at Lotus Bleu.

summa time

With summer right around the corner and the smell of sun screen, the taste of the salty ocean air, warm sand, riding bikes, and good friends is getting me through these last few weeks of school, then the livin is easy...
Roxy has some adorable and affordable things right now... right now the main thing on my mind is the wet suit designed by Cynthia Rowley. Its on the verge of I "gotta have it"! It is by far the cutest girls wet suit I have ever seen!
check out what Roxy has stirring up for the summer...
H & M Spring 2010

I am a huge fan of the model Erin Wasson, a familiar face of RVCA. She is stunning in every way, and she is now doing work with H & M, hopefully she will start a clothing line with them, that would be pretty cool! Meanwhile check out her stuff for RVCA.

turn the heat up
lately, I have been in adventure mode, trying new things, and venturing out of my little box... I have discovered some neat things along the way. Most of these adventures have been involved with being healthy and feeling good. The bathes were the first step, then I tried arial art at Acro Sports(my brother does it for a living) and I loved it, but it was hard work, and of course I am always sticking to ballet, but recently I have gotten really into bikram yoga. Its yoga in a room as hot as 105 degrees, but it is the most intriguing feeling and workout. You gain strength and flexibility at the same time! Keep in mind all these places are within 2 blocks of me, so it makes it a lot more convenient, and I'll actually go!
spalax!

I recently was introduced to a Japanese tradition, communal bathes. Kabuki Springs and Spa in Japan town is a "peaceful sanctuary devoted to nurturing harmony and relaxation through the healing powers of water and therapeutic touch". I have been going every Sunday, and it is so relaxing, they also offer massages, and I have tried the shiatsu which is an ancient form of massage performed to release energy blockages, the masseuse uses all different parts of his or her body(hands, fingers, arms, elbows, and sometimes feet) to apply pressure to certain parts of your body, the feeling after is incredible and so relieving. I highly recommend this place, or finding one in your area.

love is in the air
Lately I have quite the travel bug... I jet set to NYC and Beau's school, Bucknell every chance I get. My Last visit was for Valentines Day. I have most of my good friends there and my cousins, and I love seeing everyone, so its a one stop shop=) I am obsessed with New York, I get so inspired everytime I am there. There are so many good looking people, so many motivated people and such a variety of things to see and do! I checked out the Brooklyn Flea, which was in an old bank, visited Surf Saturdays, roamed around taking in all the excitement of the city, and ate the best of the best grub! After a weekend in NY Beau and I drove back to his school and I just hung out there for a couple days before I had to return to reality in SF. The college life/scene is so foreign and bazar to me, I love that I live the experience through Beau.
When I imagine college this is the kind of school I picture, such studious kids, and a beautiful campus!
Erica's BEAUTIFUL school, Columbia. SO proud and happy for her!
Part of the gang!
Beau was very pumped on this photo... haha
Hunting for the Brooklyn Flea... in blistering cold winds and temperatures!
Eureka and her super snazzy vintage type writer.. hey erica you still typing up my letter? how is that thing for taking notes in class?
Cool stall in the Flea, that dark area is a vault where they kept the money..
brothers
hip little spot on avenue A, coolest place, wish I could remember the name
BUCKNELL
Beau's livingroom.. College boys' house at its finest

It Makes Sense
be the person you want to find.
If you name off 20 qualities
you want in another person,
you better make sure you have
those qualities in yourself.
Tea Time
One of my favorite brands of tea is Yogi, because on each and every bag of tea there is a quote, and they are all so inspiring! I literally go through so much tea every day, just so I can read all the phenomenal sayings...
I stumbled upon the best one today. It read "be so happy that when others look at you, they become happy too". Happiness is the center of "it" all.
Be Happy.
my favorite flavors:
bedtime- best nights sleep
super anti-oxidant green tea- rejuvenate
detox- cure those crummy mornings
purely peppermint- hits the spot every time
ginger- upset tummy
chamomile- add some honey and lemon; knocks that cold right out before it even hits you
Jackson
Yes Yes I know this is quite entertaining for some, but story behind this little clip is that this kid named Jackson came to surf camp last summer
eager to learn how to surf with not knowing how to swim and being terrified of the ocean. He was autistic, and he was going to need someone
who was patient and could encourage him. I know my patience levels tend to be low sometimes, but I had place in my heart for this
kid and took it on as quite the learning experience. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but the outcome of how passionate and proud both
Jackson and his parents was something I had never seen or been apart of.
I had no idea of what an impact I had on this kiddo when he left surf camp, but I was proud of him, and he was so happy.
I have never felt so appreciated..

Bravo Brother
If you are in the L.A. area be sure to check out the new up and coming ballet company my brother is apart of, Luminario Ballet. You won't be disappointed; you will leave in awe and inspired to become a ballerina.
There is a fundraiser going on this weekend.
PEANUT butter

My latest obsession: PEANUT BUTTER!
it is so good. My best creation yet: peanut butter, honey and banana panini!
Peanut Butter Ideas
-one of my favorite things in the morning is toast with peanut butter and thick sliced bananas...
-on the run, grab a spoonful of this stuff and you're good to go
-spread some on a rice cake
-dip apples in it
-spread some onto celery sticks
-peanut butter cookies(add chocolate chips to these, oh so yummy)
-good ol fashioned PB&J
you can basically put peanut butter on just about anything!
My favorite kind: trader joe's organic without salt
Interning

I recently have been interning for a local interior design business called, Lotus Bleu. It is fun, but tiring, and very time consuming. It is so interesting though to see the world I am fascinated by and how there is SO much more to it then just moving furniture around and picking paint colors. I even have begun to think that there is more I want to do besides interior design.. The opportunities are endless! I really encourage everyone to get an internship within something they are curious about or wanting to pursue... You will be surprised with all the work that is done behind the curtain; it will really help guide you. Good Luck!
If you're ever in the San Francisco area, stop by!

Mad Men
Haven't you ever wanted to live back in the day? Mad Men is a T.V show on AMC that takes place in the 60's and Boy does it give me a whole new perspective on living in the 60's... Leave it to Beaver had me thinking life back then seemed pretty "splendid". That show was based on how it looks on the inside, but mad men has you wondering what Ward Cleaver was up to all those times he was off to the office?
Thanks to a friend, I now have the full first season and I'm hooked.
